We Buy 45 Records in Milwaukee — and Nationwide for the Right Collection
I've been buying and playing 45s for over 25 years. I DJ rare soul events across the US and Europe, and I've run The Get Down — Milwaukee's rare soul and funk night — for 23 years. As the leader of Kings Go Forth, I toured the world playing original soul music and pressed records collectors still search for today. I know which 45s matter because I've spent decades buying them at the source.
Southeast Wisconsin sellers: bring your 45s to the shop at 904 E. Center St., Milwaukee,
or text a photo of the boxes with a rough count and your town — we'll tell you if it's worth a trip in.
Big collections may qualify for a house call.
Soul, northern soul & funk 45 collections anywhere in the US: including DJ and
industry estates — I want to hear from you regardless of where you are.
We do not buy by mail. Outside soul, northern soul & funk 45 collections, we do not buy from out of state.

The Best Record Collection I Ever Bought
Thousands of unplayed '60s soul 45s from a Milwaukee radio DJ, untouched for decades. This is the kind of 45 collection I'll travel for.

How Selling Your 45s Works
Call or text and tell us roughly what you have — genres, a rough count, condition, and your town. A photo of the boxes or shelves helps. We'll tell you if it's worth a trip in. Smaller lots come to our Milwaukee shop at 904 E. Center St. — if we buy, we pay cash the same visit. House calls across Southeast Wisconsin for collections of 300+ records; beyond about 90 minutes, 2,000+ quality titles. Soul, northern soul and funk 45 collections from anywhere in the US — reach out and we'll figure out the best path forward.
We buy 45s across most genres — soul, funk, rock, R&B, jazz, punk, disco, reggae, and regional small-label releases. Original pressings, promo copies, DJ copies, picture sleeves or not. A handful of 45s? Bring them to the shop. Several thousand? We'll come to you.
No forms, no waiting, no lowball offers based on a quick glance. We price based on what 45s actually sell for — because we've been buying and selling them at this level for over 25 years.
We do not buy by mail. Outside soul, northern soul & funk 45 collections, we do not buy from out of state.

Frequently Asked Questions About Selling 45s
Do you pay cash for 45 records?
Yes. When we buy your 45s at our Milwaukee shop, we pay cash the same visit. Payment can also be made via Venmo or Zelle if preferred.
Can I sell just a few 45s?
Yes — bring them to the shop at 904 E. Center St., Milwaukee, open daily 12–4 PM. We don't price single records or small lots off photos; we need them in hand.
Do 45s need to have sleeves?
No. Sleeves help but many of the best 45s come without them. We evaluate your records regardless of packaging.
Which types of 45s are most valuable?
Original pressings of soul, funk, R&B, punk, and regional small-label releases from the 1960s and 70s tend to command the highest offers. Promo copies and DJ copies on the right titles also carry real premiums.
Do you buy 45s outside of Milwaukee?
We buy across all of Southeast Wisconsin, in person — at the shop, or on a house call for big collections. We do not buy by mail. The one exception: soul, northern soul and funk 45 collections from anywhere in the US, DJ and industry estates included. Collections only, not single records. Text or call to start the conversation.
